9/11 Multi-Faith Food Drive

Islamic Speakers Bureau of Arizona and our Food Drive Partners are collecting for our 10th Annual Multi-faith Food Drive to support three small food banks.

Again this year, due to the spike in COVID-19 cases, the food drive will be conducted as donations of money so that each food bank can buy those items that are urgently needed. We will still do this in partnership as a community wide multi-faith project but using our computers to share our love and support virtually.

Community Clean Up at EnviroFarm Ranch

As-salāmu ʿalaykum! MOVE will be volunteering to help clean up the EnviroFarm homestead owned by Sr. Jameela. It'll be in the morning before heat picks up. About EnviroRanch Farm, a farm ran solely by our sister Jameela.

A storm damaged parts of her property and, in her own words, she can only do about 2% of the clean up each day by herself.

This is where our Valley Muslim community can step in and provide her with a few solid work hours on Saturday, September 11. at 8 AM.

Rahma Cemetery Clean-Up

Cemetery Clean-Up will be this Saturday.

We are planning to do a cemetery clean-up this Saturday. We will be removing weeds and picking up trash.

We will be meeting up at ICC at 7:00 Am and we will leave by 7:30 Am to go to Ar-Rahma Cemetery:
21564 N Rahma St Maricopa City, AZ 85239.


If you are planning on driving there on your own please meet us there around 8:00 am.

All equipment will be provided, but dress in comfortable close-toed shoes, hats, and comfortable lawn care clothing.

Amera Elnamara: Amera is the Director of Clinical Services and Nurse Practitioner in long-term care. Amera is also co-host of the podcast: Muslim Women and Finance. Her passion for personal finance is fueled from recognizing the gaps that exist among Muslim youth and particularly women. She hopes to empower and educate individuals to take control of their personal finances and increase their financial literacy through lived experiences.
