Refugee Clothing Closet

We are looking for volunteers to help organize the clothes (at ICNEV) before they are transferred to the Refugee Clothing Closet, individuals are certainly welcome, but the most productive use of time will be if we can get groups to sign-up/own days on a recurring basis. Please share with your networks, and please look into sponsoring volunteer days through your organization or your kids schools! We will sign community service forms!

Fostering For Muslim Families

Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 3 PM till 5 PM

Grow Together & Catholic Charities present:

Fostering for Muslim Families

The ongoing Afghan resettlement crisis is a reminder that there is an urgent need for licensed foster care families in our Muslim communities.

As we prepare to welcome Muslim youth from Afghanistan and other countries, we ask you to learn how you can provide a loving foster home for an unaccompanied Refugee child.

Attend an orientation session provided by Grow Together Foster Care and Catholic Charities.

There will be an informational presentation, Q&A and an on-site sign up opportunity.

Please bring your questions and open your heart to learning more about fostering a needy child.

The Prophet (saw) said, ‘The one who cares for an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this’, and he (saw) held his two fingers together to illustrate. [Bukhari]

Afghan Refugee Task Force

Asalamualaikum dear community members:

Please join us on Saturday, Oct 2 at 1pm for an update on current Afghan arrivals, what AMA's Refugee Task Force has accomplished, and learn how YOU can help welcome our Afghan brothers and sisters into our communities.

Jazzakullah Khair
AMA Refugee Task Force Team

Registration: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_REh1sizZTDC4GhBUmGXGqw

16 Muslim organizations and masajid have come together to aid our brothers and sisters resettling in America from Afghanistan. Food, clothing, transportation and hygiene products are being donated. It is so important at this traumatic time that they know the Muslim community is here for them as we support the government agencies who brought them to the valley. What an opportunity for cooperation, unity and strengthening our bonds while giving dawah through our example. Organizations like ICNA, AMWA Helping Hand, and others have been doing this work for decades. We are happy to join the effort.
